In accordance with the decision, the president was recalled from office, and the leadership of the organization will be temporarily assumed by Vice President Gerd Kanter.
The motion of no confidence was supported by 61 of the 114 EOK members present, thereby achieving the required majority stipulated by the statutes. Fifty members of the general assembly voted against, and three ballots were invalid.
Immediately after the general assembly meeting, the EOK Executive Committee convened and confirmed the next steps for governing the organization. The Executive Committee announced elections for a new president, vice presidents, and Executive Committee members, which will take place at the next general assembly on Thursday, 18 June. Until the new elections are held, the duties of the EOC president will be performed by Vice President Gerd Kanter.
