Estonian Olympic Committee received the Silver Egg award for the national PR campaign on International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, titled: "White Card Day - Athletes against school bullying".
The NOC was awarded the Silver Egg at the prestigious Estonian Festival of Creativity "Golden Egg 2018" in PR social awareness campaigns category.

International Day of Sport for Development and Peace is celebrated annually on April 6 on the initiative of International Olympic Committee and United Nations. In Estonia, the day was celebrated for the first time in 2017. In cooperation with NOC Athletes Commission, we decided to focus on intervention in school bullying – a major problem in Estonia with around 50% of all students admitting to having been bullied at some point.

The author of the national concept and project manager was NOC communication manager Maris Lindmäe. NOC Athletes' Commission chair Gerd Kanter and members Ott Kiivikas and Johanna Allik took the roles of spokespersons for the day. Around 150 Estonian athletes joined in either individually or as a team, holding a white card to publish their message against school bullying and inviting for intervention. Thank you all!

April 6, 2018 is approaching fast. You are welcome to support this year's posts against school bullying with the hashtags #äralasekiusata #WhiteCard #terveeestieest
